MO Tenant Help is a self-help website created by MO Legal Services for tenants to create legal documents to fight an eviction. We recently learned about this resource and are adding it to the Information Library.

The Rental Assistance Program one-time assistance which provides assistance to (1) prevent eviction and re-establish housing stability; and/or (2) assist households to move into safe and affordable rental housing. This assistance is intended to help households who have adequate resources to rent on their own once they have been assisted.

Through the City of Columbia Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Central Missouri Community Action (CMCA) has received funding to provide financial assistance to qualified residence who reside within the boundaries of the City of Columbia.

St. Vincent de Paul Society is a charity organization of the Catholic Church. They assist residents of Columbia, Missouri mostly with rent and utility bills but all assistance requests are considered.
Help Line: The St. Vincent de Paul Society help line is open for assistance on Monday and Wednesday. Neighbors can leave a message from 8:30 am to 9:30 am on those days and we will try to respond to their request. The Help Line number is: 573-424-1022.

The Missouri Property Tax Credit Claim is a program that allows some senior citizen and all disabled individuals who have paid personal property tax through home ownership or rent to apply for credit based on the amount they payed toward that tax.
